Supporting the Philadelphia Energy Authority
PGCC manages and deploys lending capital, and administers public, private, and philanthropic funds in flexible ways that support households and communities. What began in 2021 as an ambitious vision to transform the city’s energy economy is now a proven model for how municipal programming and mission-driven finance can work together.
Financing
As a green bank, PGCC lends capital to clean energy projects that often cannot access traditional loan capital, particularly those that PGCC’s unique financial models would most directly benefit. Our goal is to support impactful clean energy projects across Pennsylvania prioritizing low-income and disadvantaged communities, rural counties, and Greater Philadelphia. We help schools, and businesses save money and become more resilient in the face of our changing climate and increasing energy prices, and coinvest with partners to reduce costs and de-risk projects.
