Supporting the Philadelphia Energy Authority

PGCC and Philadelphia Energy Authority are advancing solutions that last – for people, for neighborhoods, and for the region. We envision a clean energy economy that is built for now and powered for the future. This is energy that moves Philadelphia forward.

Built to Last

PGCC plays a critical role in PEA’s Built to Last (BTL) program, which provides comprehensive whole home repairs for low- to moderate-income (LMI) households. PGCC layers over a dozen funding streams across city, state, federal, and philanthropic sources into a single accessible program.

Built to Last delivers strong leverage and maximizes every dollar invested. The program has unlocked $6.2 million in funding, about $15,461 per home, and brings in an additional $0.61 in partner funding for every $1 invested, including nearly $14 million in philanthropic and intergovernmental capital raised by PGCC.

Solarize

PGCC supports long-term resilience and utility affordability for vulnerable households through PEA’s expanded Solarize Greater Philadelphia program. Expanding the program was made possible by PGCC’s regional footprint, which allows it to operate beyond the Philadelphia city limit.

PGCC lowers the cost of rooftop solar for low-income households in the Solarize Greater Philadelphia program by purchasing solar credits from the systems, which provides pricing stability for local solar developers and helps grow the regional clean energy economy.
